Katrina Wheelan
Managing Consultant
Katrina works at the intersection of data science and public policy, leveraging quantitative methods and technology to inform policy implementation and public budgeting decisions. She recently earned her Master of Public Policy degree from the University of Michigan, where she was awarded the Bohnett Public Service Fellowship. As a Bohnett Fellow, she worked on technical process improvements for the City of Detroit’s Office of Budget and on an open-source iXBRL conversion tool for the University of Michigan’s Center for Local, State, and Urban Policy. Previously, as a Research Manager at the University of Chicago Urban Labs, she led several government-academic partnerships to predict, model, and measure environmental permit violations.
She holds an MPP from the Ford School of Public Policy at the University of Michigan and a BA, magna cum laude, in mathematics and history from Williams College.
